THE SUN STILL SHINES!

Why does the Artist paint the sky so blue?
Why does He paint the sky that way for you?
This sunny day, skies look that way.
THE SUN STILL SHINES!
Why does the Artist add white clouds and gray?
Does He not know the clouds get in the way?
What is, has been; changed is the scene.
THE SUN STILL SHINES!
You see, the clouds are gath'ring as we look?
The scene is changing like a running brook!
This Artist knows; His paint still flows.
THE SUN STILL SHINES!
How can this Artist strive to take such pain
This scene to paint, when soon will come the rain?
What is, has been; changed is the scene.
THE SUN STILL SHINES!
How can the Artist show the sun shines yet,
While all around He makes the scene look wet?
The Artist knows; He paints rainbows.
THE SUN STILL SHINES!
Should we remember when life's shadows come?
Should we press on until our work is done?
Could we have seen beyond this scene?
THE SUN STILL SHINES!
