Divine Appointments
Opportunities -- each day, divine
appointments make --
Sometime before the sun goes down, 'tis time for you to take.
Someone needs your word of love, your touch, perhaps a prayer;
But do be sure to take time out to bless someone, somewhere!
Listen, while the birds on high,
in trees where nests abide,
Will sing forth songs with all their hearts and push your cares
aside.
True, divine appointments make each day a better one
For all concerned with living well, they're right for anyone!
Maybe you need blessing, too --
some time to smell a rose,
Or see the sky above so blue and then, your eyes to close;
Contemplate the universe, for 'tis a masterpiece!
To all the world around you, now, you breathe a prayer of peace.
