A White Christmas
A picture-perfect postcard
is all around to see;
Everywhere I look is white -
what a beautiful sight to me!
The boughs hang low with pure-white
snow -
how wondrous is the canvas;
Nature used her finest brushes
and gave us snow for Christmas!
Sun shining on the ice-covered
branches
dazzles the eyes with beauty;
A finer artist ne'er will be found -
Nature enjoys her duty.
So blessed are we who live in
the country -
with fresh, clean country air;
And untouched beauty for us to see -
nothing can compare.
Hearts are lighter with a white
Christmas -
it just seems to set the mood;
It's a backdrop for colour, everything's bright -
a perfect winter's interlude.
