Because we are out at 5 a.m. every morning, this is a good opportunity to introduce my new puppy - "Mac". He is a Westiepoo with a West Highland Terrier father and a toy poodle mother. Thus, his name had to be Scottish so "Mac" for MacGregor. :) I was so pleased to get him on June 17th. Puppy and I are doing fine. As I look around in early morn, this is what comes to me. (I haven't written a poem in years, so bear with me.)

Viewing Morning

Morning is my favourite time when everything is new;

Flowers drink the morning dew and skies are painted blue.

Each tree stands tall and stately - different shades and different face.

I'm viewing morning's painting, done with Nature's brush of Grace.

Breezes softly ruffle each tiny blade of grass;

Where birds are quietly feeding on their morning repast.

Tiny puppies waken and eat their morning meal;

Then scamper through the flower beds with lightning at their heels.

The sun peeks slowly in the East, then rises with its smile;

Another morning greeting and we walk another mile.
