Santa and Christmas

When you come to that age and begin to wonder
If Santa is real or only a blunder
That someone thought up to lead you astray;
What will we do now on Christmas day?

Listen to me and you will know
Santa is 'real'. Now, let's all go
Back to the time when Christ was born
In a manger stall, early one morn.

Shepherds and Wisemen all brought gifts.
The act made them happy and their hearts did lift
For 'giving' from your heart, with love,
Is a way to remember Him, above.

The Christ-child, the 'meaning' of Christmas day;
Santa, a 'tradition' that's a wonderful way,
For with every gift you buy and give -
The first Christmas day you will relive.

As long as we do this, without a doubt,
We're being a santa - so now, don't pout;
We're 'all' happy santas, a glorious thing -
The tradition of Christmas when bells do ring.
