The Quilt Without a Name
A patchwork quilt of vivid colour
is spread upon the ground
As autumn leaves, complexion blushed,
are spiraling all around.
Gilded yellow, green and orange
mix with cardinal-flame;
Warm rust and claret take their
place in the quilt without a name.
The kaleidoscope was carefully
planned by the quilter in the sky;
Colours hued by God's own hand
and meant to catch our eye.
A bright, unfaded coverlet to warm
us inwardly,
Reminding us of miracles - right
here for us to see.
