Picture-Book Sky

Have you ever watched cloud-formations change
as they move along the sky?
Grandma and Grandpa went for a stroll -
I saw it with my own eyes.

I’ve seen unicorns and teddy bears -
e’en old man winter a-blowing;
They change so fast you have to be quick
or you’ll miss that doggie growing.

An angel stood in the blue today -
she was watching, too.
A cloud broke up, I saw a star -
now, that was something new!

Trees and mountains, lakes and streams
are always easy to see;
It’s the unexpected-beauty as they break apart
that is intriguing to me.

From dragons to lambs - it’s a fairy tale -
oh, the sights to see;
A picture-book, a stage play -
all from our Maker - and free.
