Proud to be Canadian
I’m proud to be Canadian
and live in this vast land
of Provinces, all contributing -
to the blessings we have at hand.
Hearts are big; we help one another
by holding out our hands -
Welcoming different cultures,
respecting faith and bands.
Stretching across from sea to sea,
neighbours all are we;
Striving to keep the peace -
and share our love and plenty.
The beauty of lakes and mountains,
cities, and prairie land;
Trees that we are proud of -
plenty as grains of sand.
Fishermen in the Maritimes,
Inuits to the North,
All are proud Canadians
and all sharing their worth.
North and South, East and West,
celebrate this day;
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!”
for this is Her special day!
